Anti-crime unit catches ‘Tombstone Gang’

EKURHULENI – The ‘Tombstone Gang’ was finally caught red handed by Thatha-Zonke members during an act of vandalism. One of their officers were driving around the Sam Ntuli Mall area keeping watch when he saw two men busy cutting a tombstone in a nearby cemetery. The officer approached and immediately apprehended the two suspects at the old cemetery between Sam Ntuli Mall and Buyafuthi Hostel. The officer then called for back up from various other emergency units also responded. Members of Yizo Yizo, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Security and Kathorus Tombstone Association were swiflty on scene to assist. Both suspects were apprehended and the families of the stolen tombstones were notified via Kasi FM and Thatha-Zonke’s Page. One officers had this to say to all criminals threatening their communities: “One by one we will find them and remove them from our streets. Thatha-Zonke is here and it does not play with crime and criminals. We do not negotiate with criminals.”
