Driver fined for overloaded trailer

GAUTENG – The vehicle was stopped by the JMPD Transportation Unit at Observatory Ave & Fourie Str in the Observatory area with an abnormal load. The driver was issued a fine and they were instructed to offload half of the load to another vehicle before proceeding. Overloaded vehicles threaten road safety and are contributing to many of the fatal accidents on our roads.
