Victims treated after armed robbery

HARTBEESPOORT – The harties volunteer rescue went out to Meadow Bricks after a call from Clive from PWV Security to request a state ambulance for two persons that had been victims to an armed robbery. Both had been tied up by 5 suspects and beaten and burned with a hot plate, and one receiving a blow to the head from the rear end of an axe.

The harties volunteer rescue team managed to treat both patients on scene while SAPS took statements, whereafter harties volunteer rescue transported one patient to Brits hospital for further treatment due to no availability if state ambulance. Thank you to Clive for also being caring to the victims and keeping them calm after the ordeal. Well done to all available services on scene!
