Security guards overpowered by six suspects

BRITS – Saturday night watch guards from Secure Guarding were attacked and held hostage at a quarry mine in Moumong area in North West. The guards were overpowered by six suspects on site during loadshedding that started at 03h00 in the area. The guards were tied up, while the suspect broke into a workshop and stole various items. The suspects instructed the guards to help them carry the goods off site. On Secure Guarding’s tactical teams arrival, the suspects dropped some of the stolen items and ran away. Owner Chris van den Heever and Supervisor Clinton Howell and Rubert Botha traced the suspects trail at about 03h30 Saturday morning and recovered more stolen items just before sunrise about 1 kilometer away in the dence bushes. Thank you for all involved, we are also thankful that no guards got injured during this ordeal.
