Painting of local school in Honour of Nelson Mandela Day
LETHLABILE – The Member of the Mayoral Committee for Public Safety, Fleet and Facility Management, Cllr Feni Motepe, on Nelson Mandela Day, led a team comprising of among others municipal officials and community leaders in demonstrating and honouring this significant day by painting parts of Osaletseng Primary School buildings. The school which is found in Letlhabile was officially opened by former State President, the late Nelson Mandela on 25 March 2003. Cllr. Motepe who is also ward councillor for ward 09, said that the Municipality is pleased to be given the opportunity towards the contribution of 67 minutes of community responsibility work.
“We are thankful for the opportunity given to us to execute such community responsibility initiative on this day of the world icon, Nelson Mandela who actually once set a foot on this very same school. It pleases us to be partaking in this year’s Nelson Mandela Day and as the Municipality we shall continue working towards adding value in the lives of our people ranging from delivery of quality services to providing necessary support to communities” said MMC Motepe. The School Principal for Osaletseng Primary, Mr. Ishmael Koitsioe thanked the Municipality. “Any sort of help is welcome. We would really like to thank the Municipality for the kind gesture in identifying our school to be one of the beneficiaries on this day of reaching out and making a difference.”
