Armed robbers arrested after business robbery

GAUTENG – Four (4) armed suspects had committed a business robbery at a local shopping centre in the New Market area. The suspects fled and were chased by fox. Several shots were fired and the suspects abandoned the getaway vehicle in Overbury str. Our reaction officers and Tactical team responded to the shooting. A total of 3 suspects were arrested. One suspect was apprehended by one of our reaction officers after attempting to hide away in a clients garden. The suspect was found in possession of a firearm. Brackendowns saps were contacted and the suspects were taken into custody. Well done to all involved.
