Vehicle saved before turning into massive fireball

HARTBEESPOORT – Yesterday harties volunteer rescue received a call from Detective Stein, from Harties SAPS about a vehicle on the Randburg bridge that appeared to be smoking from the front engine compartment. HVR went to the scene immediately and deployed a DCP and a foam extinguisher to the smoking car. The blaze was stopped before it could cause any serious damage or injury. It is always a good idea to carry a small extinguisher in your vehicle, rather have it and never need it, than need it and not have it.
