E-hailing driver shot by fake client

STARWOOD – A 36 year old man was shot and dumped on the side of the road in Starwood yesterday afternoon. A member of RUSA was flagged down by the public requesting assistance for the seriously injured male. RUSA Medics were immediately dispatched and arrived on scene at approximately 15:51. The victim was found to have sustained a single gunshot wound to his abdomen.
He informed RUSA Members that he is an E-Hailing service provider. He was allegedly summoned to uplift a client on the corner of Rydalvale Place and Phoenix Highway. On his arrival, he was confronted by two men. One of the suspects produced a firearm and shot him. They dragged him out of his grey Kia Picanto with registration NJ 104 813 and dumped him on the road side. They hijackers then sped off in his car. The victim was stabilised on scene before being expedited to hospital by ambulance.
