GAUTENG – Kicking of the week with Stage 3 Loadshedding that will likely be climbing in stages as the cold creeps over the Country this week. The video is a throwback to last years hilarious moment when loadshedding occurred in WP’s win over Pumas in Nelspruit in May 2022.

Less than a minute before the final whistle was blown during the Currie Cup encounter between the Pumas and Western Province, some of the floodlights went off. Western Province recorded just their second victory of their season’s Currie Cup with a hard-fought 23 -17 win over the Pumas at the Nelspruit Stadium.

However, in a bizarre fashion we as South Africans have grown accustomed to, the lights at the stadium went out due to loadshedding with 40 seconds to play with the Pumas on the attack during the last few moments of the match. The hilarious moment was in the isiXhosa commentary booth when loadshedding occured during the rugby match.
