Ammunition cache recovered hidden in bushes

VERULAM – Members of RUSA recovered 1850 rounds of live ammunition Trenance Park. RUSA received an anonymous tip off that the sale of arms and ammunition was in progress on Cottonwood Drive. Reaction Officers who were in the area were immediately dispatched and search the location. No suspects were located in the area. Officers decided to the search the vicinity and recovered a 25 litre bucket filled with boxes of live 9mm, 40 calibre, rifle and shotgun ammunition. The scene was immediately cordoned off for further investigation.
