Three (3) drug peddlers arrested at taxi rank
BOKSBURG – The EMPD arrested three (3) male suspects between the ages of 36 and 39 years, for possession and possible dealing in illegal substances, in the Boksburg area.
Following up on information received about individuals selling drugs around the Dan Swart taxi rank on Main Reef Road, Officers swiftly responded to the taxi rank, where they approached and searched three (3) males. Upon searching them, the first suspect aged 36, was found in possession of one (1) black plastic bag with dagga with an estimated value of eight hundred Rands (R800) and forty Rands (R40) in cash. The second suspect aged 39, was found in possession of ten (10) small ziplock bags of dagga with an estimated value of four hundred Rands (R400) and two hundred and sixty Rands (R260) in cash.
The last suspect, aged 38, was found in possession of thirty-six (36) ziplock bags of dagga with an estimated value of five hundred Rands (R500) and forty Rands (R40) in cash. The lawbreakers were arrested and detained at the Boksburg East police station, facing charges of possession of illegal substances and ‘possible dealing in drugs. They are expected to appear at the Boksburg Magistrates Court soon.
