Four people perish in horrific crash

GAUTENG – The EMPD and DEMS attended an accident scene which claimed the lives of four people, following a head on collision between two motor vehicles, on N17 East by Tonk Metre off-ramp. A VW polo, which had three female occupants, collided with a BMW sedan, driven by a unknown male. Jaws of lives were used to extract the occupants from the entrapment. All occupants including drivers of both vehicles were declared dead on the scene, the cause of the accident is still being investigated by law enforcement officials.

The use of intoxicating substance is not excluded from investigations.
