Suspect arrested after dagga bust at port of entry

ESWATINI – A Toyota Avanza with false a compartment which was fully loaded with dagga was seized at Mahamba Port of Entry. Police members who were at the Port of Entry searched a vehicle at the arrivals at about 10:30. Police searched the vehicle and discovered a false compartment underneath the rear end of the vehicle loaded with six rolls of loose dagga.

A 29-year-old suspect was arrested and charged for possession of dagga weighing at 12,69 kilograms. The estimated street value of the seized dagga is at about R53 298.00. The vehicle was confiscated as well for further investigation.
