SAFReC offers emotional support & counselling at Wagpos

BRITS – On Monday morning, 8 May 2023, SAFReC Chaplains Russell Fagan and Annelize Laubscher accompanied by Pastors James and Sanet Warren and Dir Billy Coetzee, visited Wagpos High School in Brits to support the Grade 9 students who lost their close friend and classmate, Wilrich Venter, in a head-on collision on Friday night.
Cpln Russell debriefed the Grade 9 group and he and Cpln Annelize provided further emotional support to Wilrich’s close friends who were distraught by the news of his passing. Wilrich will be remembered for his constant encouragement, support, and caring nature. He was much loved and respected by his classmates and teachers and will be sorely missed.
Follow-up counselling and support sessions will be provided by the SAFReC. Thank you to all the SAFReC members offering their support and counselling during these difficult times.
