Public Notice: Water supply interruption for Hartbeespoort

HARTBEESPOORT – Affected areas include: Hartbeespoort and Surrounding Areas, Schoemansville, Melodie, Kosmos and Kommandonek.

Madibeng Local Municipality hereby gives notice of a water supply interruption in the abovementioned areas on:

Thursday, 04 May 2023 from 05:30 AM to 17:30 PM

The interruption is due to a plant shutdown at the Schoemansville Water Treatment Works, which is required for mandatory maintenance work. For the duration of the plant shutdown, there will be no water supply to the whole of Schoemansville and surrounding areas.

The municipality appeals to all consumers to store water and use it sparingly. During this period, using available water for watering gardens and washing cars and pathway with a hosepipe is strictly prohibited. The interruption is expected to last for up to 12 hours.

The municipality sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience.
