Madibeng Road and Stormwater teams busy in Krokkodildrift lane

BRITS – After two years of reporting by The Independent Co, a dim light at the end of the tunnel can be seen for the road repairs in Brits Industrial area. The Madibeng road and stormwater teams was seen today in Krokkodildrift lane busy with urgent maintenance on the stretch of road. A new trench was dug to lead rain and sewage water away from the road that, for the last couple of months, has been causing significant damage to the road to the extent that the road needed to be closed on both sides for motorists.

The plan is to lead the sewage water away that is constantly flowing from up the street to start repairs on the badly damaged road. In the meantime, a team will investigate the source of the blocked drain to clear any blockages and stop sewage from flowing down the street and cause more headaches for motorists and business owners alike.
