Truck overturned on R511/Beethoven junction

HARTBEESPOORT – A Call was received by harties volunteer rescue of a link side tipper that had overturned on the R511/Beethoven junction with report of injury. Upon arrival at the scene it was established that the truck was part of a convoy of six (6) side tipper truck traveling from Botswana to Vanderbijlpark. The other drivers of the convoy stopped and went to see if the driver of the tipped truck had sustained any injuries but no injuries was reported.
After about 3 hours of assistance to the driver to arrange towing and payment to the towing company by their company based in Botswana the truck was removed and traffic flow was unobstructed at the junction again. Thank you to all services on scene, for Rieks Towing who helped remove the truck, to the Madibeng Traffic officials who was quick to secure and regulate the traffic and to Adam from harties volunteer rescue . Adam who is a volunteer and at times the first responder to help during accidents in the Hartbeespoort and surrounding areas, does so out of his own expenses. Assisting people in need with the help of donations he receives from the community and businesses.
