The Independent Co would like to wish all our readers and customers a safe Easter festive period
Remember what Easter is all about…
Easter weekend is on the way and everyone is looking forward to a long weekend of rest, holiday, celebrations with family or friends or hunting for chocolate eggs in the garden with the kids. It’s a real treat to see the little ones’ faces light up when they find their first chocolate hidden away. Lest we forget what Easter is all about. As Christians, the significance of Easter is a remembrance of Jesus Christ sacrificing himself for our sins when he was crucified on Golgotha. The resurrection is the belief that Jesus came back to life three days after he died on the cross. Saint Paul says that if Christ was not raised from the dead, then our preaching and hope are in vain (1 Cor. 15:14). Certainly, without the resurrection, there would be no Christian preaching or faith.
Be safe on our roads. Don’t get caught speeding, under the influence of alcohol or operating unlicensed vehicles and adhere to the road rules. Think about the impact many families will face after the weekend is over.
Be responsible, arrive alive and don’t become a statistic.
