Operation Patela lead by Mayor Douglas Maimane

BRITS – The Executive Mayor of Madibeng Local Municipality, Cllr. Douglas Maimane on Monday, 06 March 2023 led the Operation Patela campaign in Brits targeting non paying businesses. The campaign revealed numerous businesses whose accounts were in arrears while others had tampered with electricity connections. Those found in the wrong were disconnected on the spot and are expected to the necessary pay fines. The similar campaign, led by Members of the Mayoral Commitee and relevant officials, took place in Elandsrand, Oukasie and Letlhabile.
