Damonsville intersection roadblock held

BRITS – Madibeng Traffic and the SAPS Madibeng Cluster held a roadblock at the Damonsville intersection. The unit is committed to increasing visibility in order to deter criminal activity on the roads. Traffic officers checked driver’s licences, disks and the roadworthiness of vehicles, while the SAPS checked for stolen vehicles, unlicensed firearms and drugs.

“The aim of these operations is for the community of Madibeng to be free when driving and walking in our streets. We’re promoting safety for drivers and pedestrians by attending to crime on the roads. The public must feel at home in Madibeng, and we want tourists for feel welcome and free,” said Superintendent Mankga, who is the Operational Commander of Madibeng Traffic.
