BREAKING NEWS: Shoot-out between SAPS and robbery suspects in Brits

BRITS – The quiet town of Brits saw action straight out of a movie this afternoon before 4PM when a shoot-out broke loose between police and 4 armed robbery suspects travelling in a grey Hyundai H-1.

Information received on scene, 4 suspects were part of a CIT robbery this morning in Rustenburg, they were fleeing through Brits when police received a tip-off and a chase ensued. Multiple shots were fired where the Hyundai crashed into a tree in Harrington street. All 4 suspects were heavily wounded during the shoot-out and caught by police. The robbery is being investigated.

Hartbeespoort Emergency Medical Service and other medical services are on scene treating the wounded. Monitor Net, Protego Security Group, Fidelity ADT, PPS and other security companies are on scene to assist the police. Well done for everyone involved bringing criminals to book! Motorists are advised to avoid Harrington street, it is an active crime scene at the moment.
