Book review: Miserable Life, Alcohol and Drugs

Thapelo Motlhamme, a 29-year-old local writer from Letlhabile saw how many people, young and old in his community struggled with alcohol and drug addiction. He went on to do research for over seven years to compile all the information into a book to help every person struggling with addiction.

Miserable Life, Alcohol and Drugs is the title of his first book. Thapelo said that addiction is being abnormally tolerated. He grew up in Letlhabile, were he saw many people addicted to drugs and alcohol. There is no serious development programs in the area to help combat the addiction with recovery.

Many people especially the youth will resort to getting high or drunk each day due to the addictions they can’t overcome. The book is dedicated to all youth and those people who are struggling with addiction. Relatives and family members who are struggling with addiction will also know how to get help and not give up easily on their loved ones.
