Corrie Pretorius has been released on R20 000 bail
LIMPOPO – Fifty-year-old Corrie Pretorius approached the higher court to appeal an earlier decision of the Groblersdal Magistrate’s Court not to grant him bail. The high court set aside the June 2022 ruling and set him free on bail of R20 000.
His bail Conditions are as follows:
- Pretorius is required to report to Marble Hall police station every fortnight.
2 . He was also ordered to handover his passports to the investigating officer.
Three months ago Pretorius was captured in a video assaulting a 16-year-old boy following an argument over the use of seasoning at a local fast food outlet in Groblersdal. Pretorius also allegedly pointed a firearm at the teenager during the assault. The case is expected to resume on Friday, after his previous lawyer failed to attend court on Tuesday.
