Veld fire at OR Tambo airport damages two planes

GAUTENG – A veld fire covered areas of Boksburg in a blanket of smoke on Monday morning, causing the temporary closure of one runway at OR Tambo International Airport. This after a nearby blaze spilled over onto the tarmac and damaged at least two stationary aircraft at the Denel terminal, belonging to fleets from SA Express and EC Air.
