Department of Home Affairs turns down thousands of ZEP holders

GAUTENG – Out of 180 000 Zimbabwean Exemption Permit holders, only 8 000 applied to regularize their permits to another visa. Almost all of them were turned down by the South African Home Affairs department these past few weeks. The Zimbabwean Government is also charging the people VAT on their property they have returing with them to the country.
