JMPD K9 and Highway Patrol apprehend four (4) suspects following a business robbery

GAUTENG – On Friday, 12 August 2022 members of Gauteng Highway Patrol arrested four (4) suspects near Leopards Rest following a business robbery incident. The members intercepted the suspects’ vehicle after it collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Kliprivier and JG Strydom roads near Leopards Rest, four (4) suspects were apprehended.

A search led the members to recover three unlicensed firearms, ammunition, cellphones, number plates and cash. The suspects’ vehicle was also impounded. One suspect managed to flee the scene and evaded his arrest. The suspects are expected to appear before a Magistrates’ Court soon, while further investigation is underway.
