Running sewage near Crocodile River a major health risk

BRITS – Residents of Primindia are gobsmacked of the lack of investigations and alertness of the Madibeng Municipality over the health hazard of running sewage causing concerns of water pollution because the station is directly next to the Crocodile River. As reported previously, this has been a problem since October 2021. Recently the Jacaranda pump station was repaired.
Investigations at the pump station has uncovered that the repairs were not to last because the sewage level near the pipes can be seen rising and overflowing into a nearby storm drain again. Urgent intervention from the Municipality is needed to curb the growing health hazard once and for all. The Municipality is not monitoring the four cameras inside the pump station.
