Massive petrol price hike for South Africans

SOUTH AFRICA – Motorists flocked to fuel pumps on Tuesday to full up before yet another record high price hike in fuel. The price of one litre of 93 and 95 octane petrol is due to go up between R2.37 and R2.57 respectively, while diesel will spike by R2.31 a litre.

The price of petrol rose from over R17.20 in June last year, to around R26.74 this July. Government has been called on to urgently intervene, following the expiration of levy relief.
