Government ends Covid-19 curbs including wearing of face masks as of 22 June 2022

SOUTH AFRICA – Citizens of South Africa no longer need to wear masks indoors in public settings. Limits on gatherings and border checks including those for vaccination status have also been dropped as of Wednesday, 22 June 2022. Health minister Joe Phaahla quietly repealed the regulations by notice in the Government Gazette ahead of a planned press conference today, Thursday 23 June 2022.
