City Power removing illegal electricity connections

GAUTENG – City Power together with JMPD and SAPS are conducting an operation to disconnect illegal electricity wires in Slovo Informal Settlement near Crosby in Johannesburg. More than 1 000 illegal connections are being removed at the moment. According to City Power, illegal connections are the cause of overloading on their network which has led to many outages across Johannesburg since the start of winter.
